WM50: THE NEW COMPACT BRANCH CIRCUIT MONITORING SOLUTION FOR DATA CENTRES

Modular and expandable architecture supported by easy and intuitive configuration.

Lainate, September 2017 - Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics group with activities in the design, manufacture and marketing of electronic equipment, today presents its new WM50 branch circuit monitoring system.

The WM50 is a complete branch circuit monitoring solution, able to measure up to 96 channels by means of up to eight 12-channel split core current transformer blocks. All data can be transmitted to the BMS or data centre monitoring system via either Modbus RTU or TCP/IP, by selecting the required module.

The WM50 is also a class 0.5S (kWh) power analyser which measures all the electrical variable mains, including the harmonic distortion (THD and single harmonics) of current and voltage. The measurement and control of the mains of the distribution unit is completely managed by the WM50, avoiding the installation of any additional power analyser.
The variable mains can be controlled by 16 virtual alarms and optionally linked to digital outputs. The variables are visible in a wide LCD display and can be transmitted by means of one of the available protocols, Modbus RTU or TCP/IP.

“The system configuration is extremely fast and intuitive, following the graphical leads of its UCS software or APP and any different topological panel configuration can be easily made,” says Andrea Bernardi – International Product Manager. “The
launch of this complete branch circuit monitoring solution will further strengthen our position in the market, since it provides customers with accurate and reliable multi-channel measurement and control by means of a fast and error-free installation and commissioning system, also suitable for retrofit installations.”

Developed by our Competence Centre in Italy, the WM50 branch circuit monitoring system is designed to meet the requirements of metering in Conventional Energy and in Building Automation markets, mainly in data centres and critical load monitoring applications, such as web-farms, banks, insurance companies, hospitals, universities or wherever the control of multiple loads is needed

DTA04: THE NEW MOTOR THERMISTOR RELAY TO RENEW AND COMPLETE OUR RANGE

High operating safety to ensure continuous production process for time and cost savings.

Lainate, September 2017 – Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics group with activities in the design, manufacture and marketing of electronic equipment, today presents the new motor thermistor relay: the DTA04.

This is a DIN rail mounted thermistor relay whose main purpose is to protect electric motors from overheating, ensuring continuous production and preventing machine downtime.

The DTA04DM24 can be supplied with any voltage from 24V to 240V either AC or DC and it comes with 2 Normally Open NEMA B300 rated relay outputs. The operational mode can be configured as Auto or Manual reset. When wired as Manual, one function of the DTA04 indicates when the motor is ready for reset. The reset can be performed locally by means of a front switch or remotely by a remote switch. The “Ready for reset“ function is available in all our DTA thermistor relays.

“The main advantages of this new device is its universal supply voltage, which allows the replacement of 6 old item codes DTA01 and DTA02 24V,115V and 230V versions) with just one single reference code: DTA04DM24, as well as its 2 standard outputs,“ says Mark J.Wilkinson – International Product Manager. “With this launch, Carlo Gavazzi’s range of thermistor relays is complete and we can provide customers with three different housings, meeting any kind of request coming from the market.“

Designed by our Competence Centre in Italy, this product is mainly suitable for pump monitoring and it is useful in all applications where motors are used, especially where overloads are frequent and may cause motor damage, such as pumping stations in water treatment plants, conveyors in material handling and chillers in HVAC systems.

Main technical features
• Standard DIN rail module
• Universal power supply from 24 to 240 VAC/DC.
• 1 item replaces 6 old items
• 2 Normally Open relay outputs NEMA B300 8A @ 250 VAC
• The two-coloured LED provides information regarding the triggered type of Alarm
• Auto or Manual reset configuration available
• PTC maximum cable length 600m with 1.5mm2 or 200m with 0.5mm2
• Reaction time < 500ms
