DPB, PPB AND DPC SERIES: WIDE INPUT RANGE THREE-PHASE MONITORING RELAYS

6 new models for high reliability and substantial power reduction.

Lainate, December 2018 - Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics group with activities in the design, manufacture and marketing of electronic equipment, today presents its new series of three-phase monitoring relays.

These relays have been designed to upgrade our technological level so as to be much more competitive on the market and allow distributors and customers to considerably reduce the number of product items on stock, maintaining the same quality of service.

The main purpose of this launch is to decrease the quantity of relays needed to cover different mains voltages, reducing heat dissipation and making the operation more stable and reliable.

“By means of the switch mode power supply, the input voltage of the DPB/PPB series ranges from 208 VAC to 480 VAC, while the DPC input ranges from 208 VAC to 690 VAC. Additional features of these devices are the extensive frequency range from 50 Hz to 400 Hz, the significant reduction in power consumption and the high immunity to mains noise,” says Mark Wilkinson – International Product Manager. “Carlo Gavazzi is now able to offer a cost-effective solution, as one single relay can replace many others, without forgetting that not many other competitors can boast a switch mode supply and a frequency range of up to 400 Hz.”

Developed by our Competence Centre in Italy, these series of three-phase monitoring relays are specifically designed for applications where there are motor supplies to be monitored: HVAC systems, Water treatment, Materials handling, Marine (thanks to RINA approval) and Airport/Aircrafts, due to the 400 Hz operating frequency.

Main technical features
• Noise, harmonics and transient filtering
• Significant reduction in power consumption:
   2.5VA (Vs 13VA) for DPB/PPB series
4.5VA (Vs 21VA) for DPC series
• Less heat dissipation
• Wide input voltage and frequency range
• 8 voltage ranges selectable by DIP switch for DPB/PPB series, 11 voltage ranges for DPC series

ET330: THE INNOVATIVE ENERGY TRANSDUCERS RANGE HAS BEEN EXPANDED

Ease of use and outstanding features in very compact dimensions.

Lainate, November 2018 - Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics group with activities in the design, manufacture and marketing of electronic equipment, today completes its series of energy transducers with the new ET330.

The ET series is now a complete range of powerful energy transducers designed to be used in all those applications where energy consumption data and control of electrical values are required. They are provided with a Modbus port with multiconnectivity (screw, RJ45, and optical ports), in order to communicate the data to any supervisory system (such as PLC, SCADA, BMS).

These devices are particularly suitable for mounting in any kind of on-board control panel, wherever energy metering is required without local visualisation.

“Used in combination with the Carlo Gavazzi web-based monitoring and control systems (such as the UWP 3.0 and the Em2 Server), the ET330, as well as the ET112 and ET340, also provide a complete solution for energy management and any energy efficiency programme, even for multisite installations,” Andrea Bernardi, International Product Manager, says. “With the ET series Carlo Gavazzi’s intention is to further reinforce its leading position as a provider of innovative, compact and easy-to-use solutions whenever energy measurement is needed.”

Developed by our competence centre in Italy, these innovative energy transducers have been designed for metering and control of electrical variables in control panels, distribution boards and on-board cabinets in markets such as Conventional energy, Building automation, Plastic & rubber, Water treatment, Agriculture and HVAC.

Main technical features
• Class 1, three-phase mono- or bi-directional and dual-tariff energy transducer
• Up to 480VLL
• 90 to 260 V aux power supply
• 5 A CT connection
• Modbus RTU (via screw terminals, dual RJ45 port, optical port)
• Digital input for dual tariff management
• Compact 3-DIN module
